Split or multi-split — one indoor unit for one room, or several indoor units on a single outdoor unit. For both homes and small businesses.

Heating is included — no separate option and no extra cost: every LG unit we install does it as standard.

Ventilation and dehumidifying too — the unit can also simply circulate the air without cooling it, or remove moisture during a damp in-between season. The built-in filter keeps dust out. Everything is adjustable with the remote or the app.

Efficient thanks to Dual Inverter — the compressor keeps running steadily instead of constantly switching on and off. That noticeably reduces energy use and makes less noise too.

Free tailored advice — we look at the size of your room, the insulation and its orientation, and calculate the capacity you actually need. Too powerful is just as bad as too weak.

Electrical connection included — we handle the dedicated circuit, the protection and the connection in your fuse box ourselves. You don't need to find a second tradesperson.

Annual maintenance recommended — this keeps your air conditioner energy-efficient and hygienic, and extends its lifespan. We offer this maintenance ourselves.

Not just cooling

An air conditioner is a heat pump — it heats as well

An air conditioner does not create heat, it moves it. In the outdoor unit the refrigerant evaporates at low pressure and absorbs warmth from the outside air — which works even in freezing weather, because the evaporating refrigerant is colder still than the air. The compressor squeezes that gas, which makes it hot, and indoors it releases that warmth into your room. The pressure then drops again and the cycle starts over.

The electricity you use goes to the compressor and the fans — not to creating heat itself. That is why more heat comes out than electricity goes in, something a gas boiler or an electric heater cannot do: they have to generate every unit of heat from scratch.

Spring and autumnWarm up one room without firing up the whole boiler.
All summerThe same unit cools, without you having to install anything else.
Room by roomYou heat where you are, not the whole house.

To be straight about it: the colder it gets outside, the less warmth there is in the air to draw on, and the smaller that advantage becomes. In a hard frost the unit works harder for the same result. Beyond that, what it saves you depends on your home and your tariff — on the insulation, on what you pay today for gas or electricity, and on how you use the unit. We would rather work that out with you than promise a saving here that may not hold for your situation. Just ask when we come round.

How is a split unit put together?

From indoor unit to outdoor unit

A split unit consists of two devices: one indoors on the wall, one outdoors against the facade or on a base plate. A refrigerant line runs between them, and that distance largely determines what the installation costs.

Cool air into the room. The thick gas line is then the suction line and feels cold; the heat goes outside.

Control

Control your air conditioner with your phone

All three ranges have built-in wifi and work with the free LG ThinQ app. We set it up together with you at handover, so everything works right away.

  • From wherever you are — turn your air conditioner on before you get home, or off if you forgot to switch it off.
  • Fixed schedules — have it start and stop automatically at times you choose yourself.
  • Keep an eye on your usage — track the unit's monthly consumption and get a notification if you go over your budget.
  • Reports faults itself — if something goes wrong, it shows up in the app. Handy when you call us: you'll know right away what the issue is.

Placement

The outdoor unit doesn't have to be in plain sight

That's the question that comes up most often: where will the unit actually go? Together we look for a spot where it draws little attention but can still draw in and expel air freely — next to the facade, behind a hedge, among the planting on a base plate.

  • Pipes concealed in a conduit that matches your facade
  • Enough clearance around the unit, so efficiency doesn't drop
  • Condensation water drained away neatly, no wet patch in your garden
  • We go over the placement with you before we drill

Four homes in the region. Look at the pipe run in particular: it goes in a conduit along the facade, not loose across the wall. Tap a photo to view it in full.

Where the conduit runs is agreed with you in advance. Would you like it in the colour of your facade? That can be done. Would you rather have the outdoor unit somewhere else? Then we look at whether that works without affecting performance. We only start drilling once you know where everything goes.

Question & answer

Frequently asked questions about air conditioning installation

Which air conditioner suits my home? +

That depends on the size of the room, the insulation and its orientation. We visit you on site for free tailored advice and calculate the capacity you actually need.

What does it cost to have an air conditioner installed? +

That depends on your situation: the capacity you need, the distance between the indoor and outdoor unit, and how easy that outdoor unit is to reach. So we always prepare a tailored quote — free and without obligation, stating exactly what is included. Fill in the form below and we can usually name a figure quickly.

How long does an air conditioning installation take? +

We usually install a split system in one room within a single day. For a multi-split with several indoor units, it depends on the number of rooms and the pipe runs — allow for one to two days. We agree on a date beforehand and stick to it.

Where does the outdoor unit go? +

Usually against the facade on a wall bracket, or on the ground on a base plate. What matters is that the unit can draw in and blow out air freely, and that condensation water can drain away. We look at the best spot on site — which is why a photo of your facade with the quote request helps us so much.

Does my air conditioner need maintenance? +

We recommend annual maintenance. The filters and heat exchanger get dirty over time, which makes the unit use more energy and cool less effectively. A maintenance visit keeps performance up, is more hygienic, and extends the unit's lifespan. We carry out this maintenance ourselves, even on systems we did not install.

Who carries out the work? +

Stephen Van Bael, owner of VB Energy and approved category I refrigeration technician, personally follows up every job: he comes to have a look, prepares the quote and is present during the work. For larger installations a second person joins in, so everything runs smoothly and safely. Either way, your point of contact stays the same person.
