What you can rely on
With us, warranty isn't fine print you find out about afterwards. Below you'll find, in plain terms, what you get, what it covers and what it doesn't.
For every private customer, set by law, from the date of delivery.
Manufacturer warranty through an approved LG installer, for units purchased from 2019 onwards.
The most expensive part of your air conditioner, covered the longest.
What warranty do I get on my air conditioner? +
Two things run alongside each other. As a private customer you always have the two-year statutory warranty from the date of delivery — that is set by law and applies with any installer. On top of that, LG gives a five-year manufacturer warranty on parts and ten years on the compressor for units purchased from 2019 onwards. Those five and ten years only apply when the unit is installed by an approved LG installer — which we are.
What exactly does that manufacturer warranty cover? +
The parts. If a part breaks down within the warranty period, LG supplies it free of charge. What LG does not cover is the labour and travel needed to replace that part — that side you arrange with your installer. That is why we clearly state in our quote what warranty we give on our own installation work, so you know where you stand in advance and are not caught by surprise.
What conditions apply to the LG warranty? +
LG sets a number of conditions: it must be a Benelux model, purchased and installed through an approved LG installer, mounted according to LG's instructions and the rules on refrigerants, and you keep the purchase invoice with the serial number. LG also states that the unit should be serviced annually by an approved installer. We carry out that maintenance ourselves, so you don't need to look for anyone else. Always report a fault to us first, not directly to LG — we handle the claim on your behalf.
What is the difference between statutory warranty and manufacturer warranty? +
The statutory warranty comes from the law and applies against us as the seller: for two years, what you bought must do what it is supposed to do. The manufacturer warranty is an extra promise from LG itself, given voluntarily, longer in duration but with its own conditions. Neither replaces the other — they exist side by side, and you can always rely on whichever of the two is stronger.
And after the warranty period? +
If a defect turns up later that was already present at installation without anyone being able to notice it, that counts as a hidden defect and you can still hold us accountable for it — although the burden of proof then lies with you. Separately from that: we are a local business and remain reachable for repairs and parts, even once the warranty has ended.
Is there also a warranty on electrical work and charging stations? +
Yes. The two-year statutory warranty applies equally to this work. On devices such as a charging station, the manufacturer's warranty is added on top — that differs per brand and we state it in your quote. With electrical work there is also the inspection certificate: that is not a warranty, but a finding by an independent body that your installation complies at that point in time.
What if something goes wrong? +
Call or e-mail us. In most cases we can already get a sense of the cause over the phone, and otherwise we come by. We installed your system, so we know which unit is fitted, how it is connected and what the warranty status is — that saves time compared with a party who has never been there before.
